What a fabulous weekend! The Troop took advantage of the unseasonably great weather to get some backpacking in. Sixteen Scouts and seven Adults hiked the Bay Ocean Spit that closes in the Tillamook Bay. We hiked about 3 miles to some great campsites on the bay side and then spent that afternoon playing football and other games on the beach side. After dark, there was capture the flag and a great driftwood campfire. After hiking out, lunch at the Tillamook Cheese Factory topped off the trip! Extra credit to the scout leaders for shifting gears on short notice from what normally would have been the annual snow caving campout.
