1:00 PM Group Cancelled

We due not have enough available drivers for the 1:00PM departure.  Those Scouts should now plan to arrive at the Church at 6:00PM to join the evening departure group.

Remember to eat dinner before arriving or bring a sack dinner.

AVIATION MERIT BADGE EVENT

HAVE YOU EVER WANTED TO: Build and fly a model FPG-9 airplane? Go “behind the scenes” at an airport?  Check out the flight deck of a real airliner?  Have a career in aviation?  Earning the Aviation Merit Badge is one terrific way to learn the basics of Aviation including the principles of flight, aircraft instrumentation, airport and hanger facilities and careers in Aviation.

Interested? Then there is an amazing opportunity coming your way May 13th and 14th, 2016! Mark your calendar for Aviation Merit Badge Class to be held at the Horizon Air corporate headquarters and hanger, 8070 NE Airtrans Way at the Portland International Airport.  To earn the merit badge, Scouts will attend a Friday evening session, May 13th and a career fair on May 14th. Cost is $15.00 per Scout. Each Scout will participate in classroom as well as hands-on activities. Merit Badge Counselors will be available on Saturday.

Dates: May 13th: 6:00PM to 9:30PM and May 14th: 8:15AM to 4:00 PM

Register for Summer Camp 2016

The Troop is going to Camp Baldwin for summer camp Friday, August 5th to Saturday August 13th.  We will leave from the church mid-morning for a tour of Columbia George, the Goldendale Observatory and some great hiking.  We will arrive at Camp Baldwin on Sunday August 7th

Snow Caving Trip, March 5 & 6

Be at the February 24 meeting, there will be presentation on snow caving building and essential gear by Spencer and Charlie.  At the March 2 meeting, there will be a mandatory gear check for all meting attendees.

Tree Pickup January 2nd & 3rd

  • Scouts and parents should arrive at the Tigard Fred Meyer parking lot at 8:15am Sat & Sun.
  • Dress for the conditions and for the work ahead.
    • Wear layers
    • Wear sturdy boots or shoes for stomping on trees
    • Wear rain jacket and pants. The trees will likely be wet.
    • Wear work gloves.  The trees are rough.
  • Bring your lunch and snacks.
  • We should finish up around 5pm at the Fred Meyer parking lot.
  • Scouts will be assigned to a chaser vehicle to help load trees onto trailers and into trucks.

Wednesday 12/16/15 Meeting

This Wednesday is Troop 150’s annual holiday caroling party at the Ruth Haefner Plaza, a low income housing center for seniors and persons with disabilities. Please have your scouts there by 6:55 pm to be ready to begin the party at 7:00 pm. There is no parking for visitors at the center, so if you plan to stay for the show, please leave enough time to find parking down the street. Here are the details:

Address:  6005 Beaverton-Hillsdale Hwy.
Time: 655pm to 815pm.
Dress:  Class A (for parents also, if you’re staying and have a uniform)
