Have Troop 150/5150 Recycle Your Christmas Tree and Wreaths!

The holidays are full of joy and celebration, but they also come with cleanup duty. Never fear! Troop 150/5150 is here to make it easy and painless for you to recycle your Christmas tree and wreaths in an eco-friendly way while supporting our scouts! Your support helps fund our numerous troop events and outings, while providing these Scouts with the resources they need to learn leadership skills, build strong moral character, and give back to the community through volunteer service.

Curbside pickup: Request a pickup on our tree recycling page and we’ll collect your trees and wreaths from your curb the weekend of January 9th and 10th, 2027. This year, we are limiting our service area for pickups to the areas of SW and NW Portland shown on the map on that page. Pickup is $20 per tree and $10 per wreath, and you’re welcome to add a little extra to support the troop. The page checks that your address is in our pickup area and takes you straight to secure payment with Square, which accepts Apple Pay, Google Pay, and credit or debit cards. Please request your pickup by the end of the day on Thursday, January 7th.

Drop-off: Bring your trees and wreaths to our collection site at St. Andrews Presbyterian Church (3228 SW Sunset Blvd, Portland, OR 97239) between 9am and 4pm any Saturday or Sunday from January 2nd through 17th, 2027. Drop-off is $15 per tree and $10 per wreath. You can prepay on our tree recycling page and show your receipt at the lot, or pay there with Venmo, cash, or check. No reservation needed!

For pickup or drop-off, please remove all lights, ornaments, tinsel, and stands. No flocked trees.

Bulk pickups outside of our normal service area may be accepted on a case-by-case basis. For that, or any other questions, email us at [email protected].

Thanks for your support of Troop 150/5150!
